GAIPS brings Stefano Zingaro to talk about the use of AI in education
On January 16, the GAIPS Talks Cycle featured Stefano Zingaro, Assistant Professor at the University of Bologna, who discussed the application of machine learning to tackle challenges in education. During his talk, Zingaro highlighted the role of artificial intelligence in preventing school drop-outs and improving the evaluation of the quality of educational processes. He underlined how these technologies can help identify risk factors and personalize interventions, making teaching more effective and inclusive.
Zingaro, who has a PhD in Computer Science, brought an innovative perspective on the use of AI in the educational context, combining his knowledge of bioinformatics and computer science. He argued that artificial intelligence can transform education by creating teaching systems that are more adaptable and responsive to students’ needs. Personalizing teaching through AI would be an effective way to improve academic performance while combating problems such as school dropout.
With extensive experience in integrating machine learning in various fields, Zingaro has proposed solutions that have the potential to revolutionize the education system. According to the expert, it is crucial that the implementation of these technologies is done collaboratively, aligning pedagogical needs with the capabilities of AI tools.
