JunctionX Lisbon 2025 — Build the Future of AI, Finance, and Society

Date: October 18–19, 2025

Location: Instituto Superior Técnico – Oeiras Campus

On October 18 and 19, Técnico – Oeiras Campus will host JunctionX Lisbon, the Portuguese edition of the renowned global hackathon Junction, organized by a student-driven community dedicated to technological innovation and the co-creation of solutions for real-world challenges.

Over the course of 36 hours, teams of 1 to 5 participants will develop technology projects with real impact. The challenges are proposed by partner companies and institutions and focus on three main areas:

  • Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
  • Technology Serving Society
  • Finance and Market Technologies

October 18

8:00 AM – Check-in and opening session

10:00 AM – Official start of the hackathon

October 19

4:00 PM – Project submission deadline

6:00 PM – Closing ceremony and awards

8:00 PM – Final remarks
