Open Activities
The NCEP organizes and coordinates a number of awareness-raising and outreach activities for 3rd cycle and secondary school students, with the aim of presenting the various courses offered at Técnico, as well as their respective career paths. These initiatives aim to give young people a comprehensive and concrete overview of the training options and career opportunities they may find in higher education.
Throughout the year, various activities are held to bring primary and secondary school students closer to the reality of higher education, giving them a practical taste of the academic environment that awaits them. The aim is to facilitate student integration and raise awareness in the community of issues related to social responsibility, both inside and outside the University.
Some of our activities include:
- Rob9-16: A robotics club aimed at children and young people between the ages of 9 and 16 who are interested in engineering, programming, electronics and telecommunications. Rob9-16 offers a practical and engaging introduction to the world of robotics and emerging technologies.
- Experimenta-te: An initiative carried out in partnership with Oeiras City Council, which aims to promote an active and creative youth, giving young people the opportunity to try out various artistic and cultural activities.
- Verão na ULisboa: A unique opportunity for secondary school students to get to know and experience the rhythm and spirit of academic life at the University of Lisbon. During the program, participants have the chance to explore different areas of knowledge, interact with university students and experience the university environment in a practical and relaxed way.
In addition to these activities, the NCEP is also responsible for organizing school visits to the campus, allowing students to get to know the university’s facilities and workings up close.
Through these and other initiatives, the NCEP seeks to promote an integral education for young people, giving them the tools they need to make informed decisions about their academic and professional future, while at the same time encouraging their active participation in society.
