Técnico departments open call for teaching and research positions
Several departments have opened vacancies for teaching and research positions for the next academic year.
The departments of Computer Science and Engineering (DEI), Chemical Engineering (DEQ), Mineral and Energy Resources Engineering (DER), Engineering and Management (DEG), Bioengineering (DBE) and Physics (DF) at Instituto Superior Técnico are recruiting professors and researchers, offering about a dozen vacancies.
Applications are open until 22 May for assistant professors in the scientific areas of Engineering and Management of Organisations and Systems Engineering and Management at DEG. The Department of Physics has two open calls running, which also close on the same date, for assistant professors in the scientific areas of Plasmas, Lasers and Nuclear Fusion and Condensed Matter Physics and Nanotechnology. DER has open calls for two assistant professors in the scientific areas of Earth Sciences and Modelling and Georesources and Sustainable Engineering. Later, the deadline to apply for research and teaching positions at DEQ is 31 May.
DBE is currently accepting expressions of interest in the scientific fields of Biomaterials, Nanotechnology, and Regenerative Medicine until 1 October 2025.
An open call is underway at the Department of Mathematics for an assistant professor in the scientific area of Differential Equations and Dynamical Systems.
DEI has an open call for assistant professor positions starting in 2026 in the scientific areas of Artificial Intelligence, Architecture and Operating Systems, Graphics and Interaction, Information Systems, and Programming Methodology and Technology.
